Offered by KAIVE
Program Overview
The Community Health Assistance (CHA) program at KAIVE is designed to train frontline health workers who serve as the vital link between communities and the formal healthcare system.
Community Health Assistants play a critical role in promoting public health, preventing disease, and delivering essential healthcare services — especially in rural, underserved, and primary care settings. They are the first point of contact for individuals and families, providing education, basic treatment, and referral services that improve health outcomes and strengthen community well-being.
This 1–2 year program combines classroom-based learning, fieldwork, and clinical attachments, giving students the technical knowledge, practical experience, and interpersonal skills needed to address community health challenges effectively and compassionately.
