Program Overview
The Perioperative Theatre Technology (PTT) program at KAIVE is designed to train highly skilled professionals who play a vital role in surgical and operating room environments. Perioperative technologists — also known as theatre technologists or operating room technicians — form the backbone of surgical teams by ensuring safe, sterile, and efficient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
This 2–3 year diploma program blends medical science, surgical technology, and practical hospital training to prepare students to assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses in delivering quality surgical care. The course emphasizes safety, precision, teamwork, and sterile technique, ensuring graduates are confident and competent in fast-paced clinical settings.
